Single Layer Piece:

All of our standard products are available to order with hooks added for keys and/or leashes.  Hooks can be added to our 12” and 18” sizes.  Key and leash hangers ordered in 12” will include four hooks, while pieces ordered in 18” will include five hooks.  As with all of our products, key and leash hangers can be further customized by adding a name or text, too! We can also add larger hooks on larger sizes for whatever the purpose!

We can make your business logo into a metal art sign! If you do not have a logo, we can create that as well! Our signs can be made for indoor or outdoor use. We have a variety of designs you can take a look at for ideas, or we can even modify them to fit your specifications as well! Metal art pieces ordered to be used as address signs or outdoor decor (i.e. ordered with the addition of a clear coat or stake), are coated both front and back with a weather resistant paint.  Our pieces are made from carbon steel, and are intended to be displayed as art with vibrant finishes and fine detail.  With this in mind, we take every precaution to protect the integrity of these finishes to prevent rust and/or damage.   The elements that a piece is exposed to will determine the longevity of a piece, and we can not guarantee this longevity due to varying exposure to extreme elements (sun, water, salt, dust, debris, etc.) and harsh climates.  No worries though!  We have yet to receive any negative feedback regarding rust or damage.

We can create metal art from pictures you provide! We recommend a high quality photo for the best results. We draw our portraits by hand, so our turnaround time varies on design. Our metal art portraits are fully customizable. We can add business names, logos, hooks, addresses, and more! Pricing varies on design.

Text or house numbers can be added to any of our standard pieces ordered in 12”, 18”, or 24” sizes.  We do not offer the addition of text or house numbers to 5” or 8” pieces.  When adding text to a piece, please consider the number of characters you’d like to add versus the size of the piece.  House numbers, a single name, or short phrase can easily be added to a smaller 12” sizes, while longer names or phrases are more suitable for 18” or 24” sizes.  Depending on the size of the metal art and number of characters you’d like to have added to a piece, it may be necessary to split text into multiple lines.

All of our metal art can be hung easily with a couple of small nails, or heavy duty double sided tape.  Single layer pieces can be hung by placing a small nail, or two, in the open spaces on your piece.  Two mounting holes are included on all layered pieces.  We do not include hanging devices such as tabs, hooks, wire, etc.  

Each metal art piece is protected with a clear coat.  A clear coat, or any other protective coating, does not need to be added.  Cleaning your piece with any abrasive material, or with any chemical substance, can damage the finish on your piece.

Fire pits measure 30” (W) x 30” (L) x 12” (H) or 40” (W) x 40” (L) x 12” (H), and weigh approximately 50 - 65 LBS.  All of our fire pits are made from ⅛” hot rolled steel, and professionally welded.  Shipping is available for 30” x 30” for fire pits anywhere within the United States, but local pick up is required for 40” x 40” fire pits at this time.

Fire pits do not need to be stored indoors or covered, but regular cleaning and paint touch up, as needed, is recommended.  Each fire pit is coated with a high temperature paint that can be touched up with a comparable high temperature spray paint (available for purchase at your local hardware store).  

Fires should be sensibly sized, and centered in the pit as much as possible.  Do not stack wood on the sides, or allow burning logs to hang over the sides, as this may warping and bending.  Steel will expand when hot, and contract when cold, which can cause warping or bending if there is an extreme change in temperature.  If a fire pit does become warped or bent, it is possible to reshape it simply by building fires!  This will allow the metal to expand and contract again to return to its original shape.

All orders in an 8”, 12”, 18”, and 24” size are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with tracking.  All orders in a 5” size are shipped via USPS First Class Mail.  Please allow 3 to 4 business days for delivery.  Tracking information for your order will be provided to you in the email you receive when your order has shipped.

If you choose to order a piece in one of our blended candy finishes, please note that the placement and blending of these colors is unique to each piece, and exact placement of each color is not guaranteed.  

All of the paints we use are durable, and weather resistant.  If you intend to hang your metal art outdoors, please refer to the address signs and outdoor decor section above for information on further protecting your piece from the elements. 

Our heat coloring technique is created on bare steel, and finished with a clear coat for protection.  All heat colored pieces will have hues of blue, purple, gold, and orange, and every heat colored piece is completely unique.  Due to the process we use to create this finish, the variation, placement, and depth of each color is different.

We offer two styles of polishing on all of our pieces:  “polished” and “polished swirl.”  Our polished finish is simply bare metal that has been cleaned, while our polished swirl finish is bare metal with a noticeable circular detail.  Both of these polishing styles have a clear coat added to protect the bare metal.

Once your order is ready, we'll promptly send you a notification email to come and pick it up. Please note that our storage capacity is limited, so we can only keep your order for up to 30 days after it's been completed. To ensure you don't miss out, we kindly ask you to collect your order within this timeframe. Unfortunately, if we don't hear from you within these 30 days, we won't be able to hold onto your items, and as per our policy, we cannot issue a refund. The majority of no-show order pick-ups will be donated to one of the many requests we receive for donations.

We have a 30 day case by case return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

Returns are only accepted for items damaged during shipment, for items that have arrived with flaws, and for items that are not as ordered (incorrect size, style, finish, etc.).

To start a return, you can contact us at info@elitemetalworking.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if your piece is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges are evaluated on a 30 day case by case basis, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request an exchange.  We cannot accept exchanges on orders made in error (size, style, or finish).

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if a refund was approved or not.  If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.  Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post a refund.
